This is an excellent take on the original theme! Your bass synth is rich and melodious. The first thing that catches my ear, honestly. Your build up and change is good. The harmony of samples you chose are mixing well. (I'm writing as I'm listening.) I could see this song being used in a new Kirby game. Something for the Wii. Haha. Nice work!

Sounds good. Reminds me of a RTS type back-theme. (Personally, I'd try to change the hi-hats to a more custom type. Something we don't hear as often.) :-) Good luck mate.
